She graduated from Florida State University with her Master’s in Social Work Degree and went on to work for the Mailman Center in the University of Miami, The Guardianship Program of Dade County, and The Institute for Child and Family Health (formerly known as the Children’s Psychiatric Center). She has over fifteen years of clinical experience providing children and adults with behavioral analysis and cognitive-behavioral therapy. Her desire to provide quality services to under served populations in Dade County; infants, toddlers, developmentally challenged, and the geriatric population was the driving force behind ABC’s for Success, LLC. Alex Diaz, RMHCI, ITDS (Infant and Toddler Developmental Specialist) is the Developmental and Clinical Director and founding partner of ABC’s for Success, LLC. He graduated from Florida State University with his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and went on to specialize in infant and toddler development. His work in the Early Steps Program at the University of Miami – Mailman Center for Child Development included evaluations, research, and teaching children and families learn new ways to promote their child’s development. Alex and his team of ITDS can help with all areas of development including speech and language skills, playing and thinking, motor skills, reasoning skills, and social/emotional skills. Kenia Romero is our Human Resources Director. Kenia has over fifteen years of Human Resources experience, five of which have been in a leadership role. Kenia is a Human Resources Specialist with a strong knowledge in recruitment, employee relations, leadership and employee development, training, compensation, benefits and workers 'compensation. She has provided Human Resources services to Non-Profit, Child Welfare, Physician Practices, Hospitals, Financial, Educational organizations and Public Agencies and Municipalities. Kenia is astute in identifying areas in need of improvement with the vision to develop and implement successful action plans. Kenia is responsible for implementing human resource management strategies that enable ABC’s For Success to recruit, train, and retain a high performing and motivated staff. Educational background in Healthcare and Human Resources. Certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). Member of local Human Resources and Compensation organizations.
